Stock/DPI Spec I back to back comparison videos

There are plenty of videos on youtube showing the sound of available exhausts for our Deloreans, but very few are back to back comparisons done under the same conditions.
This bothered me, because we all know things don't sound the same on tape as they do in real life (think of your own voice, for example). I would hear a stock exhaust idling outside then a DPI or DMC in a garage, or from inside the car. Hard to compare the two when they are samples taken under different conditions.

So I took a video of my stock exhaust, and then after installing DPI's Spec I Cat-less exhaust, took another. The car is in the same condition in both videos - backed into a two car garage, on jacks, with the garage door fully open. The video was taken with an iphone 4.

If your stock exhaust doesn't sound like mine did on video, then don't expect a DPI to sound like mine does on video. But it should help put the two in context.

I think the DPI Spec I Cat-less exhaust sounds GREAT. The stock setup sounded like an angry sewing machine. I am satisfied.

There are a few more videos on my youtube channel.

Here's a pair of videos of my car. One is with just an EFI upgrade, but everything else stock. The second one is with ported heads, aggressive cams, and the spec 1 exhaust.

Car is in the same garage in both videos.

nice, i saw the second video on your other thread, but now with the comparison, the DPI exhaust sounds even more impressive.

were your two videos were filmed with the same camera?

Pretty sure this is the first time I have heard a sample of the test pipe version of the DPI SPEC I exhaust. Very nice. Can't wait to see how mine turns out.
