I always liked those quarter panel intake scoops, seems like a great engineering idea to help cool the engine bay. But I wonder how they are secured. Looks like in picture 4 they are missing (hopefully that's a before picture). Any trouble at 75-80 MPH?

I think momo discontinued it. There getting harder to find.
For some reason I'm thinking you got one? I'm probably thinking of someone else.

Ahh yes, I see one on the bay. My (stock) wheel is in good shape. Kind of hard to spend $400 to replace something that ain’t broke. Might have to be a Christmas present. Lol.

I’m sure Micheal will correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t believe they cool the engine. The one on the pax side is for a “cold air intake”. Possibly some “ram” air effect. Should be good for mpg. The other one is just for matching looks.

My VIN:    Banged your VIN'S mom

The intake scoops are reminiscent of the Legend days. The right side actually does lead to a sealed intake track so I guess it is technically it's a "ram air"

The passenger side just balances it out however it does cool the power antenna and I have noticed the radio starts speaking Japanese at speeds over 60mph.

They are secured via some strong double sided tape. I think I would dent the panel if I tried to pull one off but as a safety measure, they included one zip tie to give it a fail safe from it flying off if something were to hit it.

The 4th pic is my other DeLorean.

Yep, I actually knew that, but was being thoughtful as to what might have been. Thought additional engine bay cooling by air could augment the coolant system somewhat...

Again, I’m blown away by how your “under hood” is cleaner than the outside (or interior) of my car.

Your second pic had me looking close for bit. Ha-ha.
