    Hi all

6880 is alive and well and running the roads again. She needs some TLC but working to give her just that. Found out earlier this week about her history as a company car and her "provenance."

    Thanks for reading!

I picked up 6880 at auction in May and she was not entirely in running condition. Fortunately, we (a long-time DMC-experienced mechanic and a retired GM mechanic - all the credit goes to them) were able to get several issues resolved and get her back on the road. She has had a bit of a rough life and showed some signs of being parked outdoors (minor corrosion in the engine compartment, moldy kind of smell in the interior etc.) but some TLC, some great mechanic intervention and some elbow grease and she is back on the road. Still have a few things to solve but nothing too major. My goals are to get her closer to when she rolled off the assembly line and to drive her when the weather is decent. I really appreciate the great info that I've seen here already and for your interest. Needless to say, I was pretty surprised when I got a call from DMC Houston this past week and finding out that one of their employees recognized the VIN from an order I placed...I had no idea it was a company car.

    Very Cool!

You might want to reach out to them and see if they have an Original Dealer document for it. My car is #0628 and was also a company car in Atlanta Georgia (I had zero idea there was an office there to begin with)
