Soooo... I don't get it. Is he dressed like a character from the show? Or is he a character from the show?
I know I can't be the only one here who isn't a Dr Who fan, can you explain the picture please?

I'm with jackb on this one. Who is this? Dr. Who himself?

I hear the show referenced on Big Bang Theory all the time but have never watched an episode.
Does it have a flux capacitor?
Does it run on 1.21 Giggawatts?
Have you been chased by terrorist?

No but I have been chased by ladies because it’s a chick magnet!

He's the latest doctor, though why he's in the pass seAt of a Delorean with his foot on the dash, i couldn't tell you.

The girl is getting in the way of a really nice car shot.

By "latest doctor, I mean he's the latest actor to play him. This is number 10 iirc, no Tom Baker, but what are you going to do.

No-one is to stone anyone, even, and I want to make this absolutely clear, even if they do say "carburetor"

I watched it in the 70s with its terrible special effects and alien costumes

I started again with my kids with the last doctor (9) David Tennant and really enjoyed it.

780+ episodes, so it may take you a while to get through if you start now

If I did my math correct, it would take me

    - 17,350 minutes to complete Season 1-26
    - 89 minutes to complete the 1996 TV Movie
    - 4095 minutes to catch up with the new Season 1-7
    - 300 minutes to complete the 2008-2010 specials

So essentially 15 days, 8 hours, 54 minutes (not including the time it took me to do all this math)

That is a hell of a lot of catching up to do! I'm not even through the third season of Star Trek yet let alone a show that will take me over 15 days straight of watching T.V. just to catch up.

All you have to do is start with Christopher Elcceston (doc #9) and then really enjoy Tennant ( #10 and the best) and be done!

Yup, big fan here as well. Been watching it since '78, effects were cheezy then but it was the good sci-fi stories and characters that drew me in.
Anyway, here is another related picture with a DeLorean. This is the actress that plays as the latest "companion" (person who travels with the Doctor).

Seem they were both in NY recently, as the link to the picture (credit to Chris for finding this) was:
"Karen Gillan attends the BBC America presents: U.S. Premiere screening of 'Doctor Who' held at the Ziegfeld Theatre on August 25, 2012 in New York City, USA"
Personal Blog: DeLorean Ownership & Upkeep (Yeah, it hasn't been updated in a while, but some good stuff there if you look.)
    ->Last posting:"Smooth shifting on a 30+ year old car."
->Most read posting:"Going 100% LEDs on your car is a good idea, and more feasible than ever."

Great pics. I'm a dyed in the wool David Tennant fan, but Matt Smith isn't too bad. It's true what they say, you never forget your first Doctor.
