Mine served as the basis for a bicycle rack. Now I have my unpainted titanium road bike mounted on my unpainted stainless steel DeLorean. I tell people that I couldn't afford to have either one painted

Can not be that hard to make yourself?
I have been looking to buy one as well, but in all those years I would not have used it once. I have a plastic bag where the spare fits into in case I need to put a wet and dirty tire on the seat next to me and a chain with a lock in case I need to lock it to a tree to come pick up the tire later.
It is like the DMOCO shifters plate. I never used it and probably never will, but because t is unavailable, just decided to keep it.

No-one is to stone anyone, even, and I want to make this absolutely clear, even if they do say "carburetor"

Back to talking about luggage racks...
On a whim I managed to buy one at DCS this year for $50. Someone had moved to Europe and was unable to bring their car with so sold it. Luggage rack was leftover, and I got it. That certainly put to rest my nerve about wanting to get one before they are all out, even if I never put it on the car. I've just seen too many creative uses for it to not have it just in case. Perhaps I'll put it on for DCS '14 and have a large container strapped to it filled with new back-lit instrument clusters to sell at the show...

I keep saying I'm going to put it on and then I remind myself that it needs powdercoating first, and then I put it back.
