    Nice, maybe thats the extent that the car gets driven?


    Now can anyone answer this. What is the purpose of the metal frame under the front spoiler? Ive never liked that bar, was it supposed to be something Doc attached so he could lift the front up with his hoist?

    It was when the horses tow the car in the 3rd movie and Doc and Marty are sitting on the car.

    The tow bar was also used as a practical method of towing the car during filming. A similar structure was welded to the front of the original cars used in Part I.
