Big Atlanta Event - May 1st 2013- Drive Your Delorean On The Parking Lot!
Can’t make it to Indy? Too busy? Too far? Washing your hair?
Come to the OTPDOC mid-day Spring meeting instead, at Twisted Taco on Wednesday May 1st at noon? Discuss future tech sessions, trips, haze new members etc.
The last event was attended by between 1 and 3 DeLoreans and we are hoping to double that number this time. Who’s in??
Food will be provided (for a fee). Ditto beverages.
Afterwards, you will have the opportunity to drive at over 100 mph on any of the surrounding roads complete with a police escort (almost certainly with lights flashing). Though it wouldn’t be recommended.

I don't always drive cars, but when I do, I prefer DeLoreans

No-one is to stone anyone, even, and I want to make this absolutely clear, even if they do say "carburetor"

That's about as funny as a screen door on a battleship.
Seriously though, I'll see if I can make it. But it's a bit far for me.

alright, alright, take your BTTF nonsense elsewhere. This is a serious thread about a huge upcoming Atlanta meeting, that's coming up here in Atlanta, no matter what type of air there is.
(actually James, it's just a fancy thread about lunch, but you are very welcome to Come On Down)

Whats up with all the workday meet ups?
It limits even the possibility of many members attending.
Oh course if this is intended as a Hotlanta group date and not a SEDOC meeting, that's cool.
I feel like its a silly hats only meeting...

Jack,
It is not intended to replace tech sessions, weekend meets etc. A couple of years ago we discovered that a few of us worked in the same area so we informally called ourselves OTPDOC (Outside the Perimeter DOC – it’s an Atlanta thing), so it is more of a small sub-set of SEDOC, though we don’t have any silly hats.
As SEDOC doesn’t have a website, or even really a FB page, we just publicize the gtgs here, rather than just email, in the hopes that a new person may see it and join us. They are only 1-2 hours long, so you are not missing much.
One of the things we do need to do, is organize a weekend tech session though.
