continued work on custom radio install. Double Din cut-out complete, and added 2 USB charging ports below where radio will go. Left hooks up to radio to double as media port, one of the right attached to a 12V to USB converter:

Did you just used a 3" hole saw to cut the holes for the Mitsubishi vents in the knees pads? Also, did you unwrap the pads before cutting the holes? Do you have exact measurements as to wher the hole needs to be in the knee pads as to avoid the glovebox and what not?
I definately want to do this mod, but am nervous about getting the holes slightly off of where they need to be and ruining the knee pads....
You can't buy happiness, but you can buy a DeLorean and that's sort of the same thing....

2.5" hole saw. Cut from behind, use an X-acto knife to cut the foam from behind the vinyl once the hole is cut. Then cut an X shape in the vinyl and insert the vent.

It is not an exact science. Feel free to use my photo as a reference and you should be fine.

mine is slightly different. I have 2 fixed vents on the drivers side that take a 2.5" hole. The 2 vents that I have for the passenger side are in a housing that will rotate, and will require a 3" hole. . . .I have not drilled those holes yet, but for the drivers side I did the same process that Patrick mentioned, going from the back to drill out plastic, then cutting slots from the front.
I am going to get my radio work done first, then focus on the AC. More to come.

Was getting dark and snowy when I finally had everything hooked up, so not a great picture of what the image looks like on the radio. Have to try again in the light. I am supposed to be able to add reverse lines to the image as welll...

That's a slick little camera. Did it come with the radio or was it something you sourced elsewhere?
