Yeah I don't think it is number matching either. They did have different color tags though so maybe certain years they were one color then another?

I am kind of nitpicking I will admit because really the only difference was my Bosch tag was in slightly better shape. I guess the thing that set me off was when I discovered that I didn't get my own F.D. yet it explicitly says on their website that is how they do it. So after that in my mind I had lost trust. "How do I know that this thing has even been tested and the pressure set."
The same thing happens with the HVAC business we own. My guys can do work for a customer for years with no problem and the customer never questioning our work. But then one day they make a silly mistake and after that the customer may loose some trust with us and may start double checking our work or hire a different company.
Believe me,...it would be easier to just leave this one on the car rather than remove it, spill gas everywhere, mail it out, wait for mine to show up, install mine with new copper washers, test and set it up.
But I would just like to have mine back.

Your photos show and "033" and an "109". Different part numbers.

Yeah I know. That is what I am saying. I am assuming they changed the model part way way through production??
I think what he was saying is numbers matching like the serial number on the FD corresponds to the serial number on the engine or the VIN.

They did not change the fuel distributor. Many numbers work fine. Mine is an "076". Don't know what differences are which made a different part number. Mine was changed when I bought the car. I think the original is the "109".

DeLorean Go has this comment on their FD rebuild service.
"The Bosch part number must be 0 438 100 109 or 0 438 100 076"
The "076" did come with adjustable flow on each port in early production. Later they removed that option but still label it the same part number. Mine does have the adjustments.

I don?t blame you. It would be different if you would get the new FD right away, but you had to wait for yours to be rebuilt and then don?t even get it back.

Yesterday I removed the rebuilt F.D. that I am returning.
Before removal I wanted to start the car one more time because it did seem to be running pretty well the other day after we burned off the excess fuel in the mixture chamber.

Kind of a shame to remove it and go through this all over again but I want my own F.D. on the car.

FYI: You can release rest pressure by jumping the double yellow/red wire to the brown wire on the RPM relay socket. Takes about one minuet but you will hear the FV change "tune" when rest pressure is gone.
