    Installing DeloreanGo alternator

    Hi All
I am replacing the Alternator in 3462. It does not look to be the original one in there right now.
I am confused as to how to wire it up as I am missing the brown/yellow dash wire.
    Pics attached.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks
    John

After peeling back a significant amount of electrical tape, I found the missing brown/yellow wire. Case closed!

Those brown battery/charge wires look severely overheated at the connector. The copper is burned and you will probably find them very brittle.

While you are in there, it may be a good time to run new wires. One of them just jumps from the alternator to the starter. Another goes a bit through the harness and ends up the the bulkhead connector. The bulkhead wire can be run parallel to the harness or rerouted along the frame rail on the right side of the engine.

those wires are hurting. Charging issues can stem from this.
