Speaking of things I should know how to do, every time I work in the electrical compartment I end up un-hooking the passenger's seat back, then I have to undo the screws at the bottom and spend the next half-hour finagling everything back together. Is there a shortcut to this method? Can I just outfit the rear panel with really strong magnets and have it stick on that way? Those damn metal tabs are a royal pain in the ass, at least for me. Please tell me there's a trick to this -- I've poked so many holes in the seat material with those screws at the bottom now it's ridiculous. And they're not even on the same parallel.

I do not understand what you mean by removing the seat back, but isn't it easier just to take the entire seat out?

I generally do not remove the seat to work in the electrical compartment. When I am working back there, occasionally my elbow will hit the back of the seat, causing the panel on the back of the seat to come unfixed on the sides. It is then held in place only by the clips at the top and the screws at the bottom.

Does that make more sense?

Maybe I am wrong, but the seat back has no real purpose. I removed mine a long time ago because I got tired of it coming loose from the seat.

In my opinion, a car with no seat back looks better than a car with an old bent seat back that keeps coming loose. No one has ever noticed my missing seat back. Ditching the seat back, Lockzilla, and K-Jet just help to reinforce that I am in fact white trash.

The seat back also prevents your fingers from getting cut when you tilt the seat forward to access the parcel shelf.
