    Rear louvre material?

One of the supporting ribs on my rear louvre has been broken since before I owned the car. Right now it's held together with electrical tape, but I'm not convinced this is going to hold as well during the winter months. Is the louvre ABS or fiberglass? If the former I'm thinking a jar of ABS cement would do just fine

This is a common and known problem actually...

    The material is fiberglass.

I did some repairs in the past and I've always used a two part epoxy glue that I got at Lowes. It really works very good. My personal preference is to use a longer curing ones, because the 5-minute one starts setting after just two or three minutes and gets very hot during curing. For full strength you still need to wait about 12 hours. So, I would say get a regular one that gives you a lot more time to work with and then leave it for 24 hours to fully cure.

Does this fit over the existing part? How does it attach?

It runs alongside the center rail of the louver. It is attached with a bunch of screws/nuts. It reinforces the backbone so that the cracks don't hurt anything, i.e. you really don't need to fix them, and it keeps more from breaking.

Does it require drilling into the original?

    No, not yet at least.
I've spent many years living in Florida. I've moved to Poland in 2005. So, I'm more used to Lowes and Home Depot than the local Castorama and others
