Sanden R134a / R-12 SD7H15 AC compressor

Asking $175 w/ the two mounting brackets and h/w. $125 for compressor only. Shipping not included.

The seven cylinder SD7H15 compressor is the superior choice of Sanden A/C compressor for the Delorean because:
• It is the quieter, much more reliable successor to our stock, no longer produced five cylinder SD-510. I was actually on the design/test team that developed the SD7 for R134a.
• It is a direct drop-in replacement for the SD-510. No mods needed. Even the hoses bolt right on.
• It is prepared for R134a (but could be used for R-12 as long as you change the oil)

This compressor has seen very limited and light use and is in excellent condition.

Just wanted to chime in and add a +1 to everything Henrik said. I swapped out my compressor a couple years ago and installed this exact model based on his recommendation (4708 configuration) and this compressor is awesome. I'm running R12 and all I did was drain the factory oil it came with and replace it with mineral oil.

If you don't buy his and end up ordering this compressor brand new from the factory, you won't be disappointed. Brand new seals (compared to NOS) and great performance with drop-in/bolt-on installation.

I know nothing about A/C ,,, im sure that shows anyway. :). But I'd like to buy one and I want to make sure I'm getting the exact right one so I don't end up having to return it, especially if it's bought online.

Edit: Oh I just noticed the 4708 configuration information in the above post. Thanks ! Is that the whole info? It's SD7H15 and 4708 ? I know there is another four digit number I see on those eBay listings.

Once I put both off those numbers into eBay nothing came up and aside from wholesale lots through alibaba, I can't seem to source that compressor. If anyone can offer help with a link or two that would help anyone interested in this compressor, including myself obviously. :)

I do agree, it can get tricky to find a compressor like the 4708 new. The resellers tend to refer to compressors as what car it fits on, not necessarily the model number of the compressor. I do recall that 4Seasons has a good product catalogue where you can cross reference the model number to what car it goes on. Maybe easier, there is a place on sanden.com where you can actually specify what compressor model you want and buy it straight from their website.
