Antifreeze question

Hi guys, In a few days it is supposed to be -15 here for a day or two. I tested the antifreeze with a 10-year-old jeep tester I have and the pointer is pointing right at -15. So I'm wondering if I should add some more pure antifreeze into the overflow tank and run the car a bit to have a cycle and mix in. Will that do the trick to lower the freezing point further until spring? If so, how full you can the overflow tank be and not cause issues – halfway? Thank you

-15F? Doesn't seem like adequate protection. How old is the coolant? Yes, top it up with concentrate and go for a drive. Overflow tank will purge until it hits its sweet spot.

Thanks dave. The roads are pretty bad so I let it run hanging outside the garage for about 20 minutes. The temperature got past the Second Mark from the bottom and everything was pretty warm. Does that count – will that cycle the coolant through the system so I could test it again out of the bottle and see if that was good enough? thank you in advance

Yes that should have mixed it up sufficiently. If you heard the fans come on you can be sure the thermostat fully opened.
