Winter is coming soon and I doubt I'll have many more days to take my Delorean out (currently it's the mid-50s here), but I was wondering if there was anyone on the boards that live where I am in the Cleveland area. It may be nice to meet up or something come spring!

I'm not too far away in Brecksville. DPI Josh is over in Tallmadge, working practically 24/7 there. D Knight (http://dmctalk.org/member.php?150-D-Knight) lists himself as Cleveland, and if I recall correctly he lives in an apartment complex, but he's not terribly active here (one post in the past two and a half months). There's another user on here on North Royalton, but he only wound up with a few DeLorean parts (some of which I bought from him) but does not own a DeLorean himself. Everyone else in Ohio with more than one post on this forum is outside the Cleveland area, being down in Columbus, Cincinnati, Dayton, etc. The DeLorean Club of Ohio (http://www.ohiodeloreans.com/) might know some more owners, although I personally am not a member of that club.

I certainly wouldn't be against a meet-up in the spring though!

Mike Substelny is near Cleveland Heights & University Circle. Dana Klachoff is north west cleveland area. Curtis Bryant is somewhere in Cleveland. Wayne Lluoma is also in the area. All of which I don't think are on DMCTalk.

Eventhough your not a DCO member your more than welcome to attend any of our events. Last Aug we were at the Crawford (http://ohiodeloreans.com/gallery-11-CrawfordCookout.htm).

Yeah, Im on the east side. Not in an apt though. I wouldnt be against a meet in spring. Sounds good to me. About Crawford, The only thing in there anymore worth seeing is VIN 500, they've really stripped it down. I didnt get too much of a chance with finances really tanking to get to all the upgrades and stuff done on my car. I still would like to check out Josh's place. I've been down to Summit a few times this summer and it was always on a Sun. Maybe a coordinated caravan down to him??

Every time I've been at DPI, Josh has had 12 or 13 DeLoreans there, mine included, from all across the country. Certainly would be fun to have even more!

I have finalized selling my old warehouse and will be bringing everything to one location by the first of the year. I keep all cars inside and the current shop only holds 18 comfortably. So I spend time taking the enclosed transport around the block moving cars as we work through our back log. Not much longer though!!!!

How far away is it from the original "mcfly" location?

Where the warehouse is?I think he means the new location you're moving into at the start of next year.

Same building here in Tallmadge at 433 Munroe Falls Road. The three units next door will be opening up at the end of the year for a total of 20,000 sq ft for my operations. As we do spend more and more of our time manufacturing cars from the ground up, all final assembly will be separate from tear down/fabricating. IE 5,000 clean side( minus offices), 5,000 dirty side, 2800 storage with front 2200 show room and the last 5,000 for my personal car collection and our enclosed trailers and company trucks. I'm consolidating everything to one location as I have always wanted to. Everything minus dyno work will be performed on site. Everything will remain separate between the spaces to maintain brand integrity as I do have a side restoration company I am involved with. I do not believe in a mixed shop and will not tolerate DPI mixing with my other ventures as I think it is disgraceful for vendors to mix the Delorean mark with other brands professionally within one facility. If anything it shows greed or a lack of Delorean work to pay the bills. If you are going to specialize in something then specialize in it.

Due to the great out of control success Delorean Performance has seen on the east coast it is only fitting to open a second location. As many know already I personally will be opening DPI Arizona due to the increasingly high number of owners coming to us for services from west of the Mississippi and on a predetermined time frame handing the day to day operations off to very capable hands. All engines, parts frames etc will still be manufactured here and sent to Az for final assembly. This is mostly to help owners with avoiding huge enclosed carrier costs transporting to and from our Ohio facility. Plus I want to escape this place a few months out of the year.

Attached is a picture of the new area directly adjacent to our current shop. Just got the keys this morning!!!!

I meant the original Mcfly motor sports location I visited at your first Open house. I googled the new address. Nice building. It looks like you will be occupying most of that complex. Is all of the space adjacent?

Yes! Doors between three of the four units.

Doors between three of the four units.I take it the fourth is your current unit. Will you be adding a door to that one at some point, so someone could walk through all four units without having to go outside? I can't imagine the current setup would be comfortable with the winters we get here in Cleveland.

Thanks for the replies, everyone. I have often seen a Delorean driving around in the Cleveland Heights/University Circle area- it must have been Mike Substelny. I'll be sure to stay informed on any meets in the spring! As for now, I will likely be winterizing my car and throwing a tarp on it until at least March :)

Thanks!
