View Full Version : Electrical White connector unplugged in relay area behind passenger seat! Huh?

I am new to forum. Original owner. 23000 miles. I havent used the car in a while. Fiddling, I removed the wooden access panel behind passenger seat and found a white molex type plug with red/white and brown wires unplugged! Car runs ok. I did not notice anything wrong operationally. Is this supposed to be plugged in? What does this effect?

If the plug has several empty spots (usually, but not always, has a White/Red and a Blue/Black wire only), it was for a Hot Start Relay but they abandoned the idea and it is unused.
If not, can you post a pic?

Not used. Don't plug anything into it.

There is coincidentally an unused white relay socket in the relay compartment that Dave S. is referring too. Don't plug anything into that one.

What you are referring to is the Door Lock Module Connection that's Unplugged. You can see the mating connection in the background. It was probably disconnected because it will drain the battery in short order (2-3 weeks) if the the car is not driven on a regular basis at least once a week.

Hi there and welcome to the forum,

Looks like you got your first good dose of Daves and figured out what your connector was for. That's great.

This thread could be helpful for you too if you had some free time to read up on it. Lots of schematics there. Towards the bottom of page 1 on post 6, the fuse and relay area schematic was reposted. You could use it to "connect the dots" if there are other things in there you don't recognize.
