eBay Fire DeLorean Sold - General opinion of values welcome

This car apparently sold for $7,501 with a charred rear end, non-stock engine and salvage title.

Seeing this, what are people's opinions about the value of a non-running, clear title, cars with decent stainless and frames but interiors that need rehab?

    Just curious.

I think you'll be surprised what a parts car without body damage goes for. You will probably make more on that one than on the good one!

"Hi! This is the first time posting. You guys seem so helpful! I bought a DeLorean with some fire damage. It's been my dream to own one of these! Just like you!! I spent most of my money on the initial price if the car. I set up a GoFundMe account and would appreciate it if you could help support me! I am a huge BTTF fan and this is a perfect time machine candidate! Any help or parts would be appreciated!!!"

"PS - with your gofundme contributions I will be taking the car back to Ireland, where it will be a time machine of the people."
