What the heck is this thing?
Hey there;
I was pulling the Governor computer out to send it off to DMCH for referb, and while I was pulling the engine compartment piece out, this cable came loose. It appears to 'belong' to the black box (computer linkup port?) shown in this picture.
Anyone know what this thing is? I have no idea what I pulled it out of, but it doesn't look like it belongs to the GC. If the picture isn't good enough or you need a different angle, let me know.

Thanks!!

You can measure the dwell signal from the lambda system from the orange lead on that plug. I believe the purple lead is a ground, but I have always used an engine ground when taking the dwell signal from that plug.
It is OK that it is not plugged into anything.

Thank you!!
I had an 'uh oh' moment when that came loose. Something I don't have to worry about for a change!

Purple wire it +12 volts. Don't use the purple wire when measuring dwell or your readings will reverse if it reads at all.
