    Replaced my steering column bushing.

Used Leatherique crack filler to do a temporary binnacle repair and re-sprayed it grey with the SEM dye. Looks 80% better than as before - brown, spotted with multiple deep cracks. Actually, looks pretty great. You'd have to be looking for the fix now. Before you could see how bad it was through the windshield.

Confused as to why the kneepads and binnacle don't line up tight at the bottom as they did before.

Watching mine get rained on right now.

Normally don't drive it in the rain but my truck broke down.

It's been awhile since I drove the DeLorean - the past 2 days have reminded me of why I bought it.

Cleaned stainless under rear side markers, installed rear side lamps, reattached side markers with new PJ Grady black screws, tidied up installation of SS engine cover panels, applied about six more coats of paint to mini-louvers, installed engine cover hooks, stays, stops, and associated hardware, painted the (estimated) ten thousandth bolt-nut-washer combo, installed same (fuel regulator bracket, engine cover hinges, louver hook on lower engine cover).

Discovered that if I hadn't been spending so much time painting and finishing bolts and what have you, the car would likely be finished by now.

Realized that the massive collection of bolts, nuts, screws, washers, brackets, gizmos, doodads, and whatsits, despite being reduced by a double handful of hardware, does not appear to be any smaller. This may be attributable to the large number of new parts added to the car, but I suspect they are breeding.

Tonight I install the mini-louvers (at last) and will attempt to install one of the quarter panels completely (I have a box of stainless sheet metal screws and another of speed nuts just waiting to be used up). And if I have time, build a new DLM per Dave M.'s design. Oh, and install the front side marker screws / polish the stainless under same.

Got my latest and greatest big ole box o' DeLorean parts Thought I'd tackle the tough stuff first... so I put my new DMC floor mats in! They look top notch! And they fit like a glove... like a glove Jerry!!

Oh, and also my SS de-ice shield... also looking top notch! (only had to grab an 11 mm socket to do that bad boy)

Left on the list are a few more cosmetics like the SS logo outline to go into each door sill plate, new defrost switch and new dummy switches, replacement parking brake switch... and... my stereo DIN bracket! Can't wait to go pick out something nice from the audio section at BestBuy. Leaning towards the Pioneer DEH6300 model deck and the Kicker 3.5 and 4x10 speakers. The car will be rockin just in time for the first snow fall, lol!

Used a "smoke machine" (read: rubber hose and small cigar) to eliminate intake manifold as source of vacuum leak. Work continues.

Silcone sprayed the bushing on the steering column (thanks for the advice Arnie!), groans have stopped. Trying to work out how to stop the front bushes from squeeking. Also looking into a new headunit as this one jumps.

    A box full o' parts

Got the new Air box and fuel pump kit yesterday, minus parts on backorder.
Air box was in pretty bad shape when I bought the car, and there was fuel stored in it(no telling how long it has been there, the seller was apparently none to honest)
Installed it and gave her a shot. The pressure from the fuel pump popped half he hoses off of the accumulator(Replaced days earlier). Not funny at the time. Got those guys back on there and the pressure pops the whole fuel pump boot off the gas tank. With gas spraying everywhere, I managed to get everything put back.
All the salty mechanics out there are surely shaking their heads in disgust, but I'm learning fast.
It still doesn't start, just cranks and cranks, occasionally if left alone for a while it will pretend to start and then quit.
I think its a cold start issue and I'm going to begin trouble shooting on that side of the house.
So today I think I'll try the ol' wire switcheroo to see if the Thermotime Switch (TTS) is the issue and hopefully get her runnin'.
