I have a small gap between the rear bumper and frame under the car. The cable comes out through the gap in the area above the driver side tailpipe (I have to get under the car to pull on the backup cable)
I attached one of these to the cable (I liberated it from a rental car )
More external detailing and degreased the transmission casing (soak for 24hrs).
Adjusted alternator belt and cleaned entire car up as it is being hired for a display at a show tomorrow. Glad when its all over, it is way too cold to be cleaning cars!

Drove it twice last night with no problems.
Almost drove it to work this morning but decided against it since it was so hot outside. Turned out to be a good move -- somewhere on West Esplanade Avenue in Metairie there's a dead duck courtesy of my PT Cruiser and a Subaru Outback. The duck didn't leave a mark on the PT, but with my luck it would have wiped out the entire front end of the DeLorean.
