Yesterday: had the master, Chris N, remove several dents, scratches, and re-brush the car: http://www.16908.info/?p=1684

Few weeks ago: Adjusted the rod on the brake booster so there is less travel in the pedal: http://www.16908.info/?p=1605

I drove it!Been sitting for a couple of weeks if not more while I was doing a cosmetic re-fresh of the driver`s side door panel.Put in a new pull down strap while I was at it.Anyway the weather got into the 60`s and I hit the road.It was great, but, will only get better. As soon as I finish my Xmas shopping the "D" gets hubs and rockers and the heater control knob rebuilt. Then tires before March and I should be good for another driving season, not counting continuing cosmetic improvements.6864Steve.

Pulled console upholstery off to correct misconnected mode switch wiring. Replaced HVAC panel light bulbs with LEDs. Reconnected cigarette lighter wires.

Finally redid the exhaust on my car to get rid of the horrible vertical oval mufflers:

The new mufflers are a couple high flow cylinders that are just a small step above straight pipes, haha

I've been insanely snowed under with work, a wedding, motor racing, Christmas functions, family stuff, etc and haven't had time to do anything (of significance) to my D these past few weeks - other than a few glorious drives of course!

Speaking of which, one of them a few weeks ago was a family reunion of sorts for #6679 - meeting up with the other local DeLoreans for the first time

New battery and drivers side door strut in my 83.

State inspection for my 81. I was astounded I had only driven it 250 miles in the past year, and only 150 miles the year before that. However, my 83 has been driven about 8000 miles this year.

Or, if the old label comes off cleanly then maybe a 3M spray contact adhesive might work - not sure about the thermal limit on that.

Alternate approach: How about buying a NOS label (P/N 108749) and installing that to your new coolant tank, leaving the label on the old tank? Saves the trouble of removing the old label without somehow mangling it, much less adhering it again.
Sorry, I should have been more clear on this. I have a stainless label (not paper) for my header bottle that I need to move to the new bottle. It currently has a foam like adhesive backing to it which is why I was guessing I should use VHB. Spray adhesive is a good thought as well. I'll look into it.

Standard 3M VHB (red backer, grey foam) will work great for your stainless label transfer needs. I wouldn't recommend a spray adhesive here.

Thanks! Just ordered a roll. For whatever reason, as stated in the item description, they won't ship to California. Probably not the most ecologically friendly tape to produce. Lucky for me I'm back in MN to visit family over Christmas so I'm having it shipped there.
