got the car up on ramps and pulled the swaybar to replace the bushings. bushings were defnintely worn/ripped:

planning to lightly sand and paint the swaybar before i put it back on with all new poly bushings from DPNW. might hit the front end recall kit plates with a light sanding and black paint while im under there to protect them a bit more. surprisingly not nearly as much rust down there as i expected there would be.

hopefully replacing these gets rid of the clunk noise i get when cornering

Yours look pretty good compared to mine. I had to split the steel bushing to get the old ones off because of rust. The steel bushing is already split (just a rolled tube) so just a tap with a cold chisel opened them up.

Nope, Toby said that you need 99165 for the drive axle shaft as it is 1.656 inches (42.6 mm).

The way I see it, if you're gonna drive around in a car, why not do it with some style?

Good luck with that. 99165 is not a listed number on the SKF applications website for delorean. 99169 is, and I have used them on my manual transmission. Is an automatic?

Having just done this on my 5-speed this summer, I can confirm that SKF Speed Sleeve CR 99169 is the correct part for the drive-shafts flange.

    Yes, it is an automatic.

I guess I will see. I trusted Toby Peterson on that one as they did replace a few already in his shop. I'll keep y'all updated.

    - Did the last oil change before winter storage
    - Replaced the original oil sending unit with a new 77-81 Corvette unit...the oil guage now works like a charm and has a semi reliable reading, no longer through the roof reading over 80!
    - Added SS DeLorean letters to the bumper
    - Gave it a good wash and took it out for some fall pictures

It's going into storage next week for a long winter....

What have I done to my DeLorean today?

Hmmm... let me give you a couple hints...

Did some cleaning, wiping and vacuuming...

Put the battery in the basement...

    Added fuel stabilizer...

    Put the cover on it...

Yes, prepared it for the inevitable.

Wake me up when Spring is here!
